We have been hearing a fair amount of rumors^( , but if there is at least one feature of the phone that can be confirmed, it would be that it is expected to launch with the ^( , Samsung’s take on the smart digital assistant.
This was confirmed in a report from^( in which Samsung’s head of AI Center Gray G. Lee told the publication that the Note 9 would feature an improved version of Bixby. Lee does not dive into specifics but goes on to state that these improves will include enhanced natural language processing (which means that users can talk to Bixby “normally”), improved noise resistance, and faster response times.
Of course whether or not Bixby 2.0 will deliver remains to be seen, especially in such a competitive space where companies like Amazon and Google^( , especially with their smart speaker products. Samsung is hoping to connect a total of 14 million units of its products with Bixby this year, and has a grand ambition of connecting all of it by 2020.
There have been reports that Samsung is also planning on launching a Bixby-powered speaker which last we heard,^( which is also around the time Samsung is expected to launch the Note 9.
