Facebook Gets Voice Posts, Stories Archive, And More

Facebook today announced that it’s adding three new features to its main app which will help users “create and save memories” more effectively. The new features include Voice Posts, Stories archive, and a slate of new cloud storage features.

Users who shoot photos or videos using the in-app Facebook Camera will be able to access these new cloud storage features. They will be given the option to save the photos and videos directly to their Facebook account. This will help users with entry-level devices that have limited storage to keep space free on their devices.

All of the photos and videos that are saved to Facebook Camera will only be visible to the user after they login to Facebook. They can then decide which of those items they want to publish to their account. Facebook hasn’t said if there’s going to be any limits to this cloud storage option.

Facebook Camera is also getting an Audio option which can be used to share voice messages as Voice Posts. This feature will help users quickly interact with their friends and family in their native language without having to install specific keyboards. They won’t even require written proficiency from users in a language that they can easily speak.

The social network has also said that an archive feature will be rolled out in the coming weeks which will let users save the Facebook Stories they want to preserve. Facebook has said that these new features are rolling out to users in India first before they’re made available to users across the globe.
