Huawei has silently launched the p smart Z, the first mid-range phone of the company with a pop-up camera mechanism.

Huawei P smart Z highlights a curved two-tone back design with Ultra FullView 6.59-inch 19:5:9 FHD+ screen. It is a notch-less screen made possible by the 16MP pop-up cam.

Huwaei said that the pop-up cam has been tested with 12 kg of pressure. It has been tested over 100,000 times for durability.

Under the hood, it is powered by the 12nm Kirin 710F octa-core chip clocked at 2.2GHz. Like the regular Kirin 710, it has the Mali-G51 MP4 GPU.

It is paired with 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage to 512GB with microSD, and 4,000mAh battery with USB-C 10W charging.

Behind, it has a dual camera setup. There’s a 16MP + 2MP dual-camera with PDAF and LED flash. It also has AI portraits and scene detection.

Behind, there’s a fingerprint sensor. It also goes with WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, hybrid dual SIM.

P smart Z comes in midnight black, emerald green, and sapphire blue colors.
It is priced at EUR 279 or around PHP 16.2K in Europe. There’s no word yet if it will be available in other parts of the world.
