Microsoft announces Surface Book 2 with new Intel quad-core chip

Microsoft has just refreshed its Surface Book 2 13-inch variant. It now has an upgraded 8th Gen Intel Core i5 quad-core processor, an upgrade over the 7th Gen dual-core chip of the previous version.

With newer gen chip

It is an i5-8350U chip with a maximum clock speed of 3.6GHz. The refreshed Surface Book 2 will also come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

To recall, Surface Book 2 also has an impressive up to 17 hours of video playback even when the keyboard is attached.

It also comes with 2x USB 3.0, 1x USB Type C, 1x SD card slot, headphone jack, and proprietary Surface connector.

Obviously, the laptop runs with Windows 10 OS.

The new Surface Book is priced at USD 1,499, the old model is on a discounted price of USD 1,299.
The Verge also reported that Microsoft will hold a Surface event on April 17 in New York where they could detail the price and availability of the Surface Hub 2 and more.
