New renders allegedly show what this year’s iPhone XR successor will look like.
After allegedly revealing this year’s new iPhone XS, reliable Apple rumourmonger Steve “OnLeaks” Hemmerstoffer says he has the 2019 iPhone XR design.
Published in collaboration with, the images, which are renders based on rumours and alleged leaks regarding the device’s outward design, show a significantly larger camera bump on the back of the device, but no obvious changes to its front.
Apple’s mid-range 2019 iPhone XR is not expected to have the same triple-lens rear camera as its pricier counterparts, but it seemingly will have a similar square camera bump, which is in line with earlier rumours regarding the phone. Rather than housing three lenses, an LED flash, and a rear-facing microphone, the camera bump on the 2019 iPhone XR will hold two lenses along with the flash and mic.

The leak also points to thefeaturing a 7.8mm width that measures in at around 8.5mm at its thickest point, as well as a 6.1-inch CD panel with the same resolution as the current unit: 1,792 x 828 pixels.
Hemmerstoffer also claims that the phone will be powered by the next silicon from, which is expected to be the A13 Bionic, a 7-nanometer design. The report claims this particular iPhone will be named the “iPhone XE,” while its flagship siblings are expected to be named the “iPhone XI” and “iPhone XI Max.”
All three of the 2019 iPhone devices are expected to feature a 12-megapixel front-facing camera, up from the 2019 models’ 7-megapixel shooter.
As always with these kinds of leaks, it’s important to note that there’s no guarantee this information is correct until Apple releases official details. Until then, take it with a grain of salt.
