HMD Global is gearing to launch the Nokia X-series but that does not mean they abandoned the 2018 models. The Nokia 5 and 6 are going to get Android P support.

In addition to that. the Nokia 3.1 is already in testing according to screenshot leaked by Roland Quandt. This shows that the Nokia 3 will have a refresh and will be launching very soon. Nokia already confirmed the 2018 versions of the Nokia 3, Nokia and Nokia 2 at MWC 2018.
However, the surprise came from the news of the announced Android P support for the 2018 version of the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. They are scheduled to get as soon as the Android P update rolls out officially. This is a great commitment to Nokia’s promise of 2 years software support and timely updates.
Android P is looking to have a UI update, new navigation methods, adaptive brightness, adaptive battery, app actions and audio controls.
This is great news and a sign of Nokia’s on going effort to get back into the market that they once dominated. They already released the Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8 Sirroco, and Nokia 6 2018 with great fan fare. It is safe to say that Nokia is back in the game.
