This new state-of-the-art facility is part of the PLDT Group’s nationwide effort to support local organizations and enterprises of all sizes – helping them store, manage and safeguard mission-critical data from cybersecurity threats and physical disasters, said PLDT Group EVP and Chief Revenue Officer and ePLDT President and CEO Eric R. Alberto.
The second data center that was built from the ground-up can carry up to a maximum of 800 racks which adds to ePLDT’s current 8,300 rack capacity. It carries the latest in globally competitive technologies, including finger-vein scanning features, CCTV cameras and 24/7 monitoring and surveillance systems.

The launch of our 10th VITRO Data Center is a milestone for us as we continue to fulfill our promise of enabling the business landscape of the Philippines. Ultimately, our vision has always been to lay the digital groundwork, so businesses can stay agile and competitive not just locally, but on an international level. Empowered enterprises make a solid foundation for a Philippines that’s ready to take on the future, said Alberto.
The VITRO Network of Data Centers are located in key cities like Makati, Pasig, Clark and Davao.
It was conceived to address the growing demand for collocation in the banking and finance industry, IT-BPM, content and media, retail and public sectors among a few examples. These 10 sites are interconnected via a software defined network that makes data centric services available across all facilities.
