If you’re able to access employee purchasing plan (EPP) and corporate plans from your employer, you may want to take a look at current pricing through online portals to see what’s available right now, as there are some deals available on iPhones.
According to users on, both Rogers and Telus are showing some discounted prices on Apple’s iPhone X, iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone 7, with many prices varying by employer. This is definitely a YMMV (your mileage may vary) deal, so it’s best to check to see what you can get.
RFD user ‘musumekiller’ shares there are Rogers plans with unlimited Canada-wide minutes available as follows:
These plans are eligible to buy the following devices on contract:
- iPhone XS Max: no discounts
- iPhone X 64GB for $100.
- iPhone X 256GB for $499
- iPhone 8 Plus 64GB for $60
- iPhone 8 Plus 256GB for $260
- iPhone 8 for $329 (no typo)
- iPhone 7 32GB for $0
- iPhone 7 128GB for $149 (no typo)
- Galaxy S9 for $0
- Galaxy S9+ for $30
- Galaxy Note 8 for $200
- Galaxy Note 9 for $200
Someone in the RFD thread who worked at Scotiabank confirmed the iPhone X price above and was able to buy the phone for $100 on the $65/6GB plan.
If you’re thinking some of the pricing doesn’t make sense, you’re not alone. According to ‘musumekiller’, the user writes “Not sure if the price is an error or just marketing. The pricing is weird.”
Another user shared their Rogers EPP plans which were slightly different from the ones listed above, and included a $200 credit.
Again, your job is to login to your employer’s online portal to see what sort of EPP plans are available, as clearly there are some decent discounts on iPhone X here.
