Based on a new report, Sony announced that they will update some of their smartphones to Android Pie starting next month.

Who’s excited?
The Sony smartphones that will get the Android 9.0 Pie update include the Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Compact, Xperia XZ2 Premium, Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, and Xperia XZ Premium.

Most of them are high-end devices of the company. The six models will receive the update from September to November 2019.

Android Pie is the newest operating system of Google. It has an improved support for device with notch, optimized notification bar, better battery efficiency, tighter security, and nicer overall performance.
