Huawei’s challenge to US
In case you’ve living under a rock, Huawei is on fire recently as US, Australia, and New Zealand considers them as a security threat.
However, there’s no solid proof regarding this allegations right now. Huawei wants US and others to provide evidence to back their claims that the Chinese tech giant is a risk.
Ken Hu complained that the accusations stem from ideology and geopolitics. He told the reporters that if the US have evidence, “it should be made known.” He also warned that Excluding Huawei from the 5G rollout would raise costs and hamper innovation.
Most likely, Hu’s remarks is a part of the company’s public relations effort to diffuse fear that Huawei is a security threat.
Huawei also showcased their various testing facilities and a lab for cybersecurity which is open for customers to verify their Huawei products.
Currently, Huawei is world’s largest telecom equipment maker. They are also the 2nd biggest smartphone brand in the world. Recently. In 2018 alone, ^( even without the help of the US market.
