Mophie, Apple’s retail and online store partner for external batteries, today^( a pair of new Powerstation PD batteries supporting 18-watt fast charging over USB-C to charge your phone to 50 percent in as little as 30 minutes.
Just a few months ago, the company launched a high-capacity ^( aimed at providing power for MacBooks, but the new Powerstation PD and PD XL come in at lower price points and lower power optimized for phones. The 6,700 mAh ^( is priced at $59.95, while the 10,050 mAh ^( is priced at $79.95.
Each model includes a USB-C port that supports 18-watt charging output and 15-watt charging input, as well as a USB-A port that supports up to 12-watt output, and Mophie’s Priority+ passthrough charging technology ensures connected devices charge first, followed by the battery.
The new Powerstation PD and PD XL are available today at^( , but there’s no word yet on whether they’ll also be coming to Apple’s retail and online stores.
