Superman Game Not Being Developed By Rocksteady

There have been quite a few rumors recently that Rocksteady Games, the developer of the popular Batman Arkham series ^(, is working on a new Superman game. Many expected an announcement next week at The Game Awards where 10 new titles are expected to be unveiled. The studio has broken its silence on this matter only to confirm that it does not have a Superman game in development.

There has been some speculation recently that a new Superman game might be announced during The Game Awards next week. The studio has now confirmed that the title won’t be announced next week at the awards because one isn’t being produced to begin with.

Sefton Hill, game director at Rocksteady, set the record straight on Twitter. “Looking forward to #TheGameAwards this year! We’re still hard at work in our development bunker so don’t expect an announcement from @Rocksteadygames. When it’s ready to show, you’ll be the first to know. Spoiler: it’s not Superman,” he wrote. Job listings at Rocksteady spotted earlier this year revealed that the studio is working on a new Triple-A game.

This doesn’t mean that Superman can’t be present in the new game that the studio is working on. What it essentially confirms instead is that the game itself won’t be a dedicated Superman title as the speculation has had some people believe.

We’re coming near four years since Rocksteady Studios’ closing main game, Batman: Arkham Knight, launched. The developer has insisted that it’s completed with Batman, however we’ve got only a few clues as to what is subsequent. And it sort of feels to be about time Rocksteady’s latest challenge is introduced.

Ahead of subsequent week’s Game Awards, there was hypothesis that Warner Bros. and Rocksteady would use the display to show the following game. Not so says Rocksteady co-founder and game director Sefton Hill. In a message on Twitter, Hill states that the developer is difficult at paintings and would possibly not be appearing anything else at The Game Awards.

Even extra attention-grabbing, Hill denies that Rocksteady is making a Superman identify. This has been probably the most continual rumor in recent times referring to Rocksteady’s upcoming initiatives. Warner Bros. has the license to DC Comics, and Rocksteady turns out just like the dream developer who can most likely pull off a Superman game. No one has in reality been in a position to do Superman justice. All the video game takes have ranged from lackluster to aggressively dangerous.

As for what Rocksteady’s as much as, all we will do is take our hypothesis in a other path — clear of the Man of Steel. We’ll in finding out when the time is correct.
