Verizon is the first carrier in the United States to sell the 5G variant of the Galaxy S10. It has already been confirmed that ^( . It will arrive on other carriers but Verizon will be the only place to get it at least for the foreseeable future.
Those who are interested in getting on the 5G bandwagon can head over to Verizon to purchase the 5G Galaxy S10 starting today. It’s not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, though. The 5G variant of Samsung’s 2019 flagship smartphone costs $1,299 on Verizon.
The actual availability of the 5G network is quite limited at this point in time. Verizon’s network is^( . The carrier has said that it will expand the network to more cities later this year.
A tweet by a member of Verizon’s corporate communications team shows that it is possible to achieve speeds of over 1Gbps on the Galaxy S10 5G provided that the conditions are just right. That’s about 10x faster than the speeds that people normally get on a 4G LTE network.
The handset itself is a bit different compared to the Galaxy S10+. It has a larger display, a quad camera system at the back as well as a bigger display. Aside from paying $1,299 for this device, customers also need Verizon’s Above Unlimited or Beyond Unlimited plans if they want to connect to 5G.
